I did more than just sit miserably in the steady rain (Friday) and 90 degree heat (Saturday and Sunday) at Lollapalooza in Chicago this weekend. And, at Barney's, happened upon possibly the most perfect lipstick color for a pale-skinned, blue-eyed brunette (the rest of you bitches are on your own). Are you ready? It's
Lipstick Queen's Saint Rose. It's a slightly bright sheer bluish pink. It just completely transforms your face. I can't even link to a picture of the thing because the LQ website just has insane, totally unrealistically colored circles for swatches
instead of actual colors of actual product. I might just post that anyway so you can see how stupid it is. But seriously, you ladies with my coloring, trust me on this one.

I have Saint Rose...somewhere among the thousands of other lip colors stashed in the multitude of makeup storage places. I'll have to dig it out!
I just got 2 of the LQ Lipstick Crayons - Crime (sheer hot pink)and Chase (sheer watermelon). They are quite nice - you might want to check them out!
I sooo want to try her stuff, but for some INEXPLICABLE reason, they won't ship something USPS to Alaska. It's not teargas, people! and we are part of the US, y'know! Maybe if she sees me griping.... gripe gripe gripe

they just SUCKED. plus it was hot and miserable and filthy (which admittedly was not the band's fault, just added to the general malaise). the really excellent shows were deerhunter and crystal castles and neko case. you want the performers to at least act like they're happy to be there! i don't think lolla is at all worth going to for the headliner shows anymore. it's the smaller bands that make it worthwhile.
I love love LOVE saint rose!!! It brightens me up & I think it might be the worlds perfect lipstick (for me). Lipstick Queen's products don't have any goofy perfumey flavors, either.
