Bad For Lashes

The good news is that Bobbi Brown has finally jumped on the tubey mascara bandwagon with her new Perfectly Defined Mascara. The bad news is that this stuff adheres too well to your lashes, and when you remove it, you remove a few lashes, too. I have been using tubey mascaras for at least ten years now, and I know what I'm doing. I've never had one pull out lashes before. This does not make me happy. I think you'd do well to avoid this one.

In other news, WHY do I keep buying new mascaras? I am actually perfectly happy with what I've been using, the Clinique tubey. I guess I always think the next one will be even better. I am lame.

You are not lame. You buy bad makeup so we don't have to. Sorry to hear about the Bobbi tubes. I'm a huge Bobbi fan, usually.

Too bad about Bobbi - but I'm really posting to thank you for recommending the Clinique tubey a while back. It's my favorite mascara, now - it's "just enough" mascara, without going over the top; it stays put nicely, and comes off nicely with Take the Day Off. Thanks!

Have you tried any of the vibrating mascaras yet?

I buy approximately 8 tubes of mascara per week, so I feel ya.

Any chance of a post about the best eye make up removers? I love Max Factor Masterpiec waterproof mascara, but I find myself taking around half of it off at the end of the evening, despite scrubbing at my eyes, then the morning after seeing grey splodges and having to try again to remove the rest of it.

is there one thing you swear by that gets waterproof mascara off in one go?

Have a lovely weekend!

I thought you were in fav of the Blinc Kiss Me tubey mascara. Clinique is "better"? I'm loving the above as I finally avoid raccoon eyes! I'd stopped wearing mascara entirely until you recommended Blinc.

I like Blinc Kiss Me too, but the Clinique one is like six bucks cheaper, and just as good. I happen to be working on a Clinique one right now.

I returned the Bobbi Brown to Nordstrom and got my money back!

just found your blog when I was searching for a review of this new stuff I tried (moroccanoil).. Anyway, I started reading your blog and came across the tube mascara thingy that youve written. I wanted to pass this along to you (unless youve already tried it) my friend told me about this stuff last year and Ive been a loyal user of it ever since. (sephoro carries it) Its called "Blinc Kiss Me Mascara" ( I also use their primer but had to buy the primer online since sephora only had the mascara) Anyway, have you tried it? (the Blink Kiss Me Mascara) I love it and it doesnt pull out my lashes and it really stays on. I paid 25$ for it ( and I think the primer was a little less) If you havnt tried it, then give it a shot. I love the stuff. I wasnt aware that Clinique had a tube mascara but will keep it in mind incase I cant get to sephora (and the mall that has clinique is closer to my home) Anyway, great blog, I'll definately be checking back :)
( I loved the moroccanoil but cant find it, my hair dresser used it on me and it worked great, pricey though)
